Podcast: Cougar Football Weekends

Cougar Football Weekends have always been a very important tradition to students and alumni of Washington State University. There is a lot more to the tradition than just a three-hour football game on Saturday afternoons. To get a full picture of what is important to WSU students, we asked some what their favorite part of the game experience is.

Cougar Country

There is nothing more American than a burger and french fries and Pullman does have it's share of places to sit down and eat one. While most of the bigger fast food chains have set up shop in Pullman, the one that keeps us coming back is the local shop Cougar Country.

The service is fantastic and the burgers are tasty.

My personal favorite is to pair a bacon burger and fries with a delicious milkshake. The 1950s style restaurant keeps their prices affordable for students. Cougar Country serves as not only a great place for both students and alumni to satisfy their hunger, but also as a recognizable palce for Pullman residents to take pride in.

Cougar Football Saturdays: More than a game

Cougar football weekends are about much more than a 3-hour football game on Saturday afternoon. A wide variety of events coincide with the football game each time the Cougars are at home.

With Pac-10 play starting up this weekend against USC, the WSU website has put together an aggregate of the events that are happening in Pullman this weekend. The events include tailgating, barbecues and a miniature golf tournament, among other things.
